Our Credit Builder Loan is a secured, small-dollar loan ($500 – $2,500) designed to help members establish or repair their credit profile. Whether you’re just turning 18, fresh out of college, or bouncing back from life’s surprises, this program gives you the head‑start (or second chance) you deserve.
How it works
Apply online or in‑branch for the amount that matches your monthly income.
We deposit the full amount into a secure PCU account—you can’t touch the funds yet, so there’s zero temptation to spend.
Make affordable monthly payments (principal + 6% interest), and we will report to Equifax and TransUnion.
Miss one payment? No sweat. You’ll have 30 days to make the payment before we report the missed payment.
Graduation! After your final on‑time payment, we will release the full balance to you—plus a stronger credit file.
Launchpad for bigger goals – Successful graduates may be considered for other loans with Pillar Credit Union.
